The Peridot Gallery Classic Hotel covers the standard Hanoi Old Quarter boutique bases and adds a meaningful differentiator at the top: a multi-level rooftop bar with a jacuzzi and good views over the surrounding neighborhood. In the early evening when the heat has eased off, it’s one of the more enjoyable spots in the series to wind down with a drink.

The room is on the smaller side, consistent with this category, but comfortable throughout the stay. The closet is well-stocked — safe, slippers, robes, extra comforter, and good hanging space. Tea and coffee setup sits beside the bed with the mini fridge below, stocked with a few minibar items. The bathroom includes a tub and shower combination with both a fixed shower head and a detachable nozzle, a bum gun, a small sink area, and an unusual but practical privacy drape around the toilet area — a detail that stands out as a thoughtful touch in this category.

Breakfast follows the Hanoi boutique format well — a buffet line with hot food kept properly hot (steaming up the camera lens), toast, bread, fruit, and juice alongside à la carte noodles and made-to-order eggs. The breakfast seating area is comfortable, and the views from up there add to the experience.

The rooftop bar spans multiple levels with plenty of seating options and views in multiple directions. The jacuzzi on the upper level was present during the visit though not in active use. Easy to see why rooftop bars have become a signature feature of Old Quarter boutiques — the Peridot’s version is one of the better executions in this series.
