Minerva Premium Hotel

The Minerva Premium Hotel covers the same ground as the other Hanoi Old Quarter boutiques in this series — compact rooms, included breakfast, walkable location — but adds one meaningful differentiator: a rooftop bar with views over the historic neighborhood. In the evening once the heat has dropped, it’s a genuinely pleasant space and fits naturally with the character of this part of Hanoi, where rooftop bars are a fixture of the local scene.

Staff made a strong first impression — friendly, helpful, and proactive about recommending things to check out in the area. The lobby has comfortable seating for guests waiting to check in.

The room is small, in keeping with this category, but well-equipped. The bed is comfortable and the layout includes a desk area, side table and chair, tea and coffee setup, stocked minibar, and a closet with slippers, robes, safe, scale, and laundry service with hangers. The scale in the closet is a nice touch — not something you find at every boutique. The bathroom has limited counter space at the sink but comes with a hairdryer already set up, extra towels underneath, and — notably for this price point — separate enclosed areas for the shower and toilet.

Breakfast follows the standard Hanoi boutique pattern but delivers it well — a small buffet alongside à la carte options ordered from the table. Pho and made-to-order eggs are available as à la carte items, alongside rice dishes, baked beans, chicken, cereal, and fruit on the buffet side.
