Coming July 21: Our First Northern Vietnam Hotel Review Series
Filming is officially wrapped — and we couldn’t be more excited about this one.
Starting Tuesday, July 21st, we’re rolling out our first full hotel series: 13 hotels across Northern Vietnam, reviewed honestly and on the ground, covering just about every budget and every reason you might book a room. This is the biggest single block of reviews we’ve put together, and it’s built to be genuinely useful whether you’re planning a splurge, hunting for character, or grinding out elite nights.
Here’s what’s coming:
- The high end — two InterContinentals. We stayed at both the InterContinental Hanoi Westlake and the InterContinental Hanoi Landmark 72, so you can see exactly how Hanoi’s two flagship IC properties stack up before you commit points or cash to either one.
- The character — eight boutique hotels in Historic Hanoi. Eight very different stays tucked into the old heart of the city, where the real value — and the real personality — tends to hide.
- The status play — two Hyatt properties and one IHG. If you’re chasing elite status, we break down how to knock out qualifying nights at surprisingly reasonable cash rates. These are the quiet, budget-friendly stays that move you up a tier without wrecking your travel fund.
That’s 13 hotels spanning luxury towers, backstreet boutiques, and smart status runs — a real cross-section of what Northern Vietnam has to offer, at prices that run the full range.
And as always, the promise doesn’t change: every one of these stays was booked and paid for out of our own pocket. No comped rooms, no sponsored write-ups, no fluff — just what we actually experienced, room by room. That’s the WYSIWYG way, and it’s the whole reason this site exists.
The first review goes live Tuesday, July 21st, right on our regular Tuesday schedule, with more rolling out every week after that. Follow along here on CrashCourseHotels.com and over on the YouTube channel so you don’t miss a stay.
Northern Vietnam. 13 hotels. Zero fluff. See you on the 21st.
