Sukhumvit Road Walking Tour: Bangkok’s Real Street Vibes (Soi 24–Soi 4)

This is a real-time walk down Sukhumvit Road from Soi 24 to Soi 4, one of Bangkok’s busiest and best-known stretches. There’s no narration and no music, just ambient city sounds, so you get the street as it really is.

What you’ll pass. Along the way you’ll see street food stalls and neighborhood cafés, the BTS Phrom Phong, Asok and Nana stations, and a mix of luxury condos, nightlife, local shops and hidden gems tucked into the sois.

For me, the fun of this walk is simply being there. After years of watching this stretch in YouTube videos, it’s interesting to actually walk it yourself.

I was staying at the ibis Bangkok Sukhumvit 24, which puts you right at the start of this walk.

My tip: walk Sukhumvit any time but midday. The heat and the crowds make the middle of the day the least enjoyable time to be on these sidewalks.
