Calm and comfortable KL base with three transit stations within 10 minutes and amazing omelets!
This Grand Mercure Kuala Lumpur review covers a four night stay that ended up being extended — which by now you will recognise as one of the stronger endorsements in the Crash Course Hotels catalog.
The transit access from this property is exceptional. Plaza Rakyat LRT Station is around 370 meters away — a 6 minute walk giving direct access to the Sri Petaling and Ampang Lines. Hang Tuah Station is 400 meters away connecting the Monorail and Sri Petaling LRT Line. Imbi Monorail Station is 600 meters away linking you directly to Pavilion and Berjaya Times Square. Three stations within 10 minutes on foot puts virtually all of KL within reach without relying on Grab. Jalan Alor Food Market is a 13 minute walk for anyone wanting one of KL’s best street food experiences.
The room upgrade through Accor status delivered a spacious, well designed space with a rainfall shower bathroom that set a high bar for the stay. The pool and fitness center round out the amenities cleanly.
The breakfast deserves special mention. Made to order eggs done perfectly — the omelet station produced one of the best omelets encountered across the entire trip. The kind of breakfast that becomes a reason to stay in rather than head straight out in the morning.
A calm, comfortable KL base with some of the best transit access in the catalog and a breakfast worth waking up for.
